Meine Damen und Herren, don your dirndln and lederhosen! Oktoberfest returns to Bainbridge Island in 2018, courtesy of your local Chamber of Commerce!

This fun-filled event will be hosted at Bainbridge Island’s Waterfront Park on Saturday, September 29, 2018. The festival opens at 3:00 PM with the ceremonial “tapping of the keg” by Bainbridge Island mayor Kol Medina. Our 4,000+ square foot beer garden will be open for a full six hours, featuring local beer coordinated by Bainbridge Brewing, and traditional German plates served by your very own Chamber staff. Leave room for treats though – soft pretzels, kettle corn, and cold brew coffee will be available from local vendors! Get your Oompah! on with the Hometown Band and show your wild side with the Austrian Amazon, Manuela Horn!

Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest (beer festival and traveling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16-day folk festival running from mid September to the first weekend in October. What began in 1810 as a celebration to honor the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen has now evolved to include delicious food and fun activities, making it the largest beer drinking festival in the world.

Come on down and join us for a good time!
